Cryolipolysis

What is it?

Cryolipolysis, also known as "fat freezing" or by the product name CoolSculpting, is a new procedure that involves a non-invasive cooling of body fat to break down fat cells, resulting in a reduction of body fat without damage the other tissues. The effect takes several months to be seen.

How is done?

After decided what area the client wants to remove the fat from, cooling membranes will be put in places, so the skin and the underlying fatty tissue is gently sucked between the cooling plates, and the cooling process begins. The treatment chair is comfortable, allowing you to sleep or hear music to pass the time during treatment, for example.

Following a 40-minute treatment, fat cells are frozen and subsequently decompose in the weeks to come, leaving your body in a natural manner.

Who is it recommended for?

For those who want to remove fat from specific areas.

How long it lasts?

Once the treated fat cells have been frozen through cryolipolysis, they die. This is not temporary; the cells are permanently destroyed and eradicated from the body. Once these fat cells are gone, they are gone for good!

However, it also depends on your lifestyle because you can always create new fat cells, therefore a good lifestyle is also very important to maintain results.

Aftercare Instructions?

  • Maintain your weight.

  • Eat a healthy diet.

  • Drink at least 2.5 litres of water / fluid to support your lymphatic system.

  • Reduce your intake of caffeine to no more than 2 cups a day.

  • Reduce your alcohol intake to 1 or 2 drinks per week.

  • Be active.

Side effects?

As with almost any medical treatment, there are side effects, such as numbing, bruising, a feeling of tenderness and temporary redness of the area treated. Sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental or submandibular area treatment. These side effects all naturally pass after a while.

How many treatments should I do?

More than one session may be needed to achieve a person's desired results. If more than one treatment sessions is needed, the next session can't be performed until 6 to 8 weeks after the first session. This is because it can take this long for damaged fat cells to be eliminated from the body.

What to expect during and after your session?

There is little to no recovery time after a cryolipolise procedure. Most people are approved to return to normal day-to-day activity immediately after. In some cases, some minor redness or soreness may occur in the area treated, but all minor side effects typically subside within a few weeks.
